Kwu Tung Station Wins CIC Outstanding MiMEP Project (Design) Award

21 April 2026

Dragages Hong Kong is pleased to announce that the Kwu Tung Station project has received the CIC Outstanding MiMEP Project (Design) Award at the MiC/MiMEP Achievement Award 2025 Presentation Ceremony. This recognition celebrates the company’s innovative and integrated modular approach to railway construction in Hong Kong.

The project exemplifies excellence in a BIM (Building Information Modeling) environment, where the implementation of MiMEP (Modular Integrated Construction for MEP) has been seamlessly and highly effectively executed. From design through construction, we leveraged advanced technologies including BIM, AI automation, and AR/VR inspection to establish new industry benchmarks.

In addition, the project adheres to the design philosophy of “Complete like in-situ, Maintain like in-situ” , incorporating maintainability and sustainability into end-to-end planning and installation processes. By using BIM to simulate installation and enable component re-use through a closed-loop approach, the project effectively minimises site clashes, shortens design workflow cycles, and ensures that prefabricated components are able to align with site conditions for precise installation and reliable operation.

This award not only recognises the project’s achievements, but also marks a significant milestone for MiMEP adoption in Hong Kong. Our integrated modular MiMEP design solution demonstrates our commitment to smarter, safer, and more sustainable infrastructure delivery, while improving construction efficiency.
