Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of our values and play an important part in our company’s success.
We are proud to receive the Extraordinary Diversity & Inclusion Award in the Extraordinary Employer Awards 2021-2022, organised by one of the most popular recruitment magazines named Recruit in Hong Kong, recognising our efforts on upholding workplace diversity and inclusion and providing equal opportunities during recruitment and in the working environment.
Over the years, we have been demonstrating a long-term commitment to diversity and inclusion through our policies, networks, trainings and initiatives.
We have developed a Human Resources Policy focused on recruitment, training and career development. Our actions are carried out with a view to achieving a better balance between men and women, valuing the status of people with disabilities, and integrating all generations and cultures. These initiatives create added value of bringing together differences to create a stronger corporate culture.
Moreover, WeLink APAC, a professional network for female employees of Bouygues Construction entities in the Asia Pacific region was launched in July 2022. It is a network created within the Group as part of our Diversity & Inclusion principles for employees.
In training, we provided courses and videos on Diversity through our corporate online learning platform called BYLe@rn. The staff can enroll or watch a series of video entitled ‘Together different: Diversity, Disability, Gender Diversity’ here. We also invited the guest speaker to talk about on the topic of unconscious bias. Diversity-themed e-newsletter was also distributed to all employees for reference.
To nurture the young female members on professional development, the 12-month Women-to-Women Mentoring programme was launched. Our senior female executives serve as mentors to share their career development experiences and insights for our young female talents in the company.
Our goal is to build a culture of mutual care and solidify a sense of belonging among all our employees so that our different voices are heard to drive better business results.
