Dragages Hong Kong, a leading construction company in Hong Kong, celebrated its 70th anniversary milestone with a grand annual dinner on 8th March at its former landmark construction project, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre extension, bringing together 1,600 colleagues to share in this momentous occasion. 

The gala event, themed “Building for 70 Years,” featured a 70-tunnel walkthrough timeline showcasing the company’s transformative journey since its first major project – the Kai Tak Airport runway expansion in 1955 – through to its present-day achievements. 

“For seven decades, Dragages Hong Kong has been instrumental in shaping Hong Kong’s infrastructure and skyline,” said Mr. Patrick IU, Managing Director of Dragages Hong Kong. “This milestone celebration reflects not just our achievements, but the dedication of every team member who has contributed to our legacy of excellence.” 

The evening’s highlights included the presentation of Long Service Awards and Professional Awards to outstanding staff members, recognizing their contributions to the company’s success. A special showcase featured testimonials from long-serving employees, sharing experiences spanning up to three decades with the company. 

The celebration was enhanced by performances from WeYoung, the company’s young professional network, and a live band entertainment. Attendees embraced the nostalgic spirit of the occasion by wearing attire inspired by “The Good Old Days of Hong Kong.”
