Dragages Hong Kong and Bouygues Travaux Publics have adopted the New Engineering Contract (NEC) in several projects that requires collaborative partnerships with our clients and consultants. The teamwork demonstrated has earned Bouygues Travaux Publics the name of “Contractor of the Year” from Institute of Civil Engineers for the Inter-reservoirs Transfer Scheme – Water Tunnel between Kowloon Byewash Reservoir and Lower Shing Mun Reservoir Project (IRTS). Meanwhile, the Airport Authority Office Tower Development Project (HKAAO) was also awarded “NEC Building Project of the Year – Highly Commended #3”.

During the assessment for the award, Bouygues Travaux Publics was highly regarded in terms of the Project Management, Risk Management, Cost Saving Design and Innovations exhibited in the IRTS Project. By collaborating with our project stakeholders, the project team was able to promptly react to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our on-going construction activities.  In addition, we proactively initiated optimized design solutions and innovative methods to enhance construction performance, efficiency and project safety.

The HKAAO Project is the first project adopting NEC4 Option C under the Airport Authority. Dragages Hong Kong emphasizes mutual trust and co-operation with our clients through transparent project management and regular partnering workshops to listen to the needs of all parties and to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved.
