Dragages Hong Kong Named “Manpower Developer”

Dragages Hong Kong has been accredited as Manpower Developer (MD) by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) in May.

Comments of the Technical Consultant of the MD Scheme on our outstanding performances:

LEADING A LEARING CULTURE

Senior management was devoted to continuous manpower development and played an active role in fostering a learning culture.  They were actively involved in the planning of annual training activities and acted as speakers in training events.

RESOURCES PLANNING

Strong involvements of both top management and its parent company.  The “comprehensive group induction programme” is developed by its parent company – Bouygues Construction University.  Some 80 staff participated.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM

A mix of top-down and bottom-up approaches were adopted to identify staff’s training needs.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Evaluations of training effectiveness were conducted on a regular basis.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The organisation has received “Caring Company Logo” since 2012.  In 2017 – 1,829 volunteer hours spent in 33 activities, involving 11 charities.

1.  ERB launched the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” in 2009 to recognise organisations which demonstrate outstanding achievements in manpower training and development as Manpower Developers.  Up to April 2018, a total of 464 organisations have been accredited as MDs from 30 industries.

2. ERB is an independent statutory body established in 1992. The ERB co-ordinates, funds and monitors training courses and services that are market-driven and employment-oriented so as to meet the changing needs of the employment market.
